Ultramarathon Man
Have you heard of Dean Karnazes? He's an ultra-distance runner holding the record for longest continuous run: 350 miles in 81 hours. A marathon is a mere 26.2 miles so this is almost unimaginable. He's on the cover of this month's Runner's World because he's planning to run 50 marathons in 50 states in 50 consecutive days.
So why am I giving you a bunch of useless information on this endurance nut? Because in the same article he describes his next challenge, running from California to Hawaii in...... you guessed it, a Hydro Bronc! He figures it will take a few months with a support boat to spend the nights in.
A Fitzsimmons Creek novelty no more! The Hydro Bronc is making its debut as an international form of transportation. Can't afford a plane ticket to Europe? No worries, get out the foot pump, grab your wetsuit and off you go.

Here's Dean on a training run.Pssst Carolyn...... instead of pool running you should get the Tri Stars out on Elk Lake in some of these. Even for shock value it would be priceless!
